Do you Dye?

After the egg coloring was over there was still a ton of dye left since the kids only did a dozen eggs. My family doesn't like to waste so they came up with the idea of pulling all the plain white onesies out of my nephews' closet and the adults got to have a little fun.

They turned out really great and it was a great after lunch activity. I can't wait to do some more tie dye this summer with the girls!

Easter Sunday

I hope everyone had a great Easter. Our weekend was great but we were completely exhausted by the end of it. The first night home we all went to bed early and slept for more than 12 hours. Exhausted.

I feel like we've been playing catch up ever since we got home again. It was great to see everyone though and Kinsley is already wanting to take another trip. I think we'll be waiting a bit longer though. Right now I am swamped with custom orders for the shop, finishing up details for our Mother's Day lunch and of course the ever important 1st birthday party. Lots of fun things to come.

Wee Peg Doll Swap

Waldorf Peg Dolls Pic 1
Just realized that I never posted pictures of the dolls that I made for the Wee Peg Doll Swap over at We Bloom Here. I loved making these tiny little beauties and Kinsley was over the moon with them and of course had to have one of her own. I can't decide which one is my favorite.

Each doll went off with it's own little pouch so the recipient can take their little doll with them everywhere they go. And all their accessories fit right inside as well.

I'm already dreaming up little toadstool cottages for them to live in and tons of other doll designs. I can see now why people make so many of them, they are truly addicting.

Ninja Peg Doll
And a wee Ninja I made for one of the swappers. And yes, the picture focused on the greenery instead of actually on the ninja. I couldn't have done that if I had tried. Someday I will learn how my camera works.

The dolls Kinsley received back in the swap were beyond adorable too. You can see them all in the Gallery at We Bloom Here.

It's me, Aunt Manda

I'm not going to go back and fill in all the little details from my last blogging break but there is one BIG detail that I want to make sure you're aware of. Well actually it's more like 2 tiny details but it's definitely a big deal. My baby sister had her twin boys in January. They were only 28 weeks so definitely early and very tiny. It's hard to comprehend how small they really were just by looking at these pictures.

Meet Braeden, my littlest nephew who was born weighing only 1lb 14oz. Isn't he a cutie pie?

Andrew

And my biggest nephew Andrew who was born weighing in at 3lbs and 1oz. Quite the big guy huh? ;)

Obviously they've spent some time in the NICU and we expected them to have a long hard road ahead of them but they are both fighters and now two months later are doing extremely well.

Andrew and Braeden

Aren't they the cutest little boys EVER? They are so sweet and I just love this picture, I think they look happy to be hanging out together. Andrew is home now and doing great. Braeden is still at the hospital but is no longer on oxygen and it getting stronger every day. It won't be long until he is home with his big brother and then my sister will REALLY have her hands full.

10 Months for Kaitlyn

Our beautiful and crazy baby girl is 10 months old today (and I actually remembered to take pictures). I hadn't really thought about it but this was the first time she's really just sat down in the grass without being on a blanket of some sort, and she wasn't sure how she felt about it at first.

She kept lifting her foot over and over again and looking at it. Guess it felt funny.

She warmed up to it after a while though and had a great time.

She is getting so big and it makes me sad every time I post new pictures and see how much she has changed. Her personality is really starting to show but sometimes that's not a good thing. She is a little bruiser. She is tough as nails and doesn't feel the need to move objects out of her way or go around them, she just barrels through things and leaves a disaster in her wake. Hurricane Kaitlyn, that's our girl. She is ridiculously in love with her big sister and always cracks up when Kinsley plays with her. She's moved past her Army crawl and can not only crawl like a big girl but can pull up and stand on her own. She loves to cruise the furniture and can walk on her own for a few steps but then sits herself down saying "no no no". She loves to walk when we hold at least one of her hands. Her all time favorite activity has to be "sneaking" to Kinsley's room to play with the Barbie dolls though. My favorite are Kaitlyn kisses, she even makes the kissy sound when she does it. Love this girl.
