Cousins

One of the girls' favorite adventures so far was having their cousins come spend a week with us.  Afterall, nothing says adventure like 2 year old twin boys right?  It certainly was an adventure, but it was a great deal of fun for all of us.  With horses, tractors, lots of room to run, and lots and lots of water I'd say the odds are good that they had a good time as well. 



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The girls are already asking when their cousins can come stay again.  I have a feeling it won't be long until the next visit, though this time maybe we'll just do a long weekend. 

Summer Solstice

This is the day the oldest darling of mine has so been looking forward to for weeks now, the official start of summer.  Days full of berry picking, swimsuit wearing, backyard hooping, and a ridiculous amount of popsicle eating are ahead of us and we couldn't be happier about it.

These pictures from Kait's birthday were just too good to not share.  Grandma and Grandpa brought bubble blowers with them when they came and a bubble war soon followed. Who doesn't love a good bubble fight?

Another year of dance is behind us after another great recital Saturday.  I love watching my little dancer on stage showing off all the hard work and practice she's put in throughout the year.  She is already looking forward to the start of a new dance season this fall and I must admit that I am too. 

Dinosaur Birthday Girl

It's hard to believe that our littlest girl is now 3 years old. Months ago she came to me and declared that she would be having a dinosaur birthday party so dinosaurs it was. One of the things I love most about her is that she knows exactly what she wants and it is always so unique to her personality. She woke bright and early and grinning as big as she could told us "you can say happy birthday to me now" and of course we obliged. We spent the day at home doing some of her favorite things and of course playing all things dinosaurs.

 

 

 

 

 

I love this picture.  She was so excited that her dress had a pocket and immediately filled it with all her tiny dinosaurs and kept them there all day long.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was a day just perfect for this little girl who loves being home, having her family around, and playing at her "very own park".  It's been an amazing three years and I cannot wait to see what the next year holds for our little wildflower.
